You could also set up your page on Just Giving, where you can find details of Islamic Help’s campaigns. Select the one you would like to raise funds for and watch the donations roll in.

• One Born Every Minute

Do you have a birthday coming up? Using the same example as above, ask for charity donations towards Islamic Help’s Birth Campaign this year.

You could save a mother and child’s life on your birthday and give someone a real chance at life! How incredible is that!

• Old School

Remember the wonder years? Back in school when you hadn’t a care in the world? Ever wish you could go back? Do you wonder what your old friends got up to? You can find out!

Arrange a school reunion and donate everyone’s entry fee towards one of Islamic Help’s Environmental Projects. Celebrate your education by making it a possibility for someone else.

You could even inject some extra fun into your reunion by adding games, quizzes and challenges; where the prize also goes towards the campaign. Get local businesses to sponsor and support you with setting up the event.

• Come Dine With Me

Set up your own version of Come Dine With Me at home, with your friends.

Grab three (or more) of your friends and take on the dinner challenge. The winner gets to donate towards a campaign of their choice. A food aid campaign could be relevant here, perhaps?

First things first, though, once you have your spectacular idea, the first thing you need to do is go viral! Use social media to your advantage and advertise your campaign. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and even your own iHelp Give page on Islamic Help’s newly designed website. You could print out flyers and leaflets, text everyone in your phone book and even call your local radio station – the list is endless!
