Volunteer
The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind.”
Passion and Commitment
Volunteers are a cornerstone of, and fundamental to, our work around the world. Islamic Help started in 2003 because of the passion of a small group of volunteers who wanted to make a difference in the world. The passion, commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers have been our driving force over the years. Without their involvement, we would not be able to deliver the projects and programmes that continue to change countless lives in the UK and across the world.
Making a Difference
By devoting the most precious of resources, namely their time, volunteers make a difference to their own lives and those of people in need across the world. Giving your time to help others is, perhaps, the most valuable gift anyone can give. It also enriches your own life, through sharing new experiences with like-minded peers; by utilising skills or talents or learning new ones; by organising or participating in events and overseas deployments to directly deliver aid.
Our Commitment
We value our volunteers and the inspiration they give to us and others. In return for their involvement and time, we try to arrange opportunities that fit with their interests, desires and skills. Our duty to them is to provide an array of activities that allow them to make a real difference; to do something inspirational; to gain experience, learn skills and improve their CVs; to meet new people and peers, and gain an insight and taste of humanitarian work.
So Far
During the last year, our volunteers have taken part in activities ranging from fundraising events and overseas deployments to campaigns tackling domestic violence and knife crime. Interested in volunteering? Just fill out the form below:
