Surah Maryam is named after the mother of Prophet Isa (as), known as Jesus in the Bible. This incredible Surah details the trials and tribulations faced by many of the prophets including Musa, Harun, Ismail and Idrees (as).
Among many of the themes that are covered in this Surah, we are reminded of the oneness of Allah and His ability to do the impossible, from the birth of Isa (as) to a mother who had been touched by no man, to the story of Prophet Zakariyyah (as) who was gifted a child despite his wife's elderly age. We are also reminded about the incredible character of Maryam (as) and her piety.
The favours of Allah unto mankind are discussed in great detail in this Surah, and by exploring it we hope to find solutions and reassurances for many of the problems that we face in our lives today.
If you love to hear about stories of the prophets and learn vital lessons from their lives to implement into yours, ensure you’re at one - or both - of these seminars!

The first will be on Saturday 4th January 2020 at the London Muslim Centre, 46 Whitechapel Road, E1 1JX, while the setting the following day will be the Regent Park Banqueting Hall, Regent Park Road, Birmingham B10 0QP.
