Speaker:

Join us on this very special webinar as we learn about the history of Masjid Al Aqsa.   Jerusalem has a close affiliation with countless prophets of Allah. Adam laid the foundations of al-Aqsa. Ibrahim lived in Jerusalem. He is buried today in Khalil, 28 km south of Jerusalem. Yaqub raised his twelve sons in al-Quds. Musa was instructed to strive for this sacred city. Daud conquered the city. Sulayman rebuilt al-Aqsa there. Zakariyya prayed for Yahya inside the masjid. Maryam had her miraculous Mihrab inside the mosque. And in one of the greatest miracles of all, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and all the prophets) visited this ‘Blessed Land’ on the night of al-Isra wa’l Mi’raj.   The crown jewel of this blessed city is al-Masjid al-Aqsa, the second oldest mosque in the history of Islam, the first Qibla of Muslims and the mosque recommended specifically by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not undertake a journey to visit any Mosque, but three: this Mosque of mine, the Mosque of al-Haram and al-Masjid al-Aqsa” [Sahih Muslim 1397]   This incredible webinar is not to be missed, register for free now!   Brief outline of topics covered:
  1. The virtues of al-Aqsa
  2. The first Qibla
  3. Umar ibn al-Khattab & Jerusalem
  4. The crusades and Salah al-Din
  5. Conclusion - al-Quds; always in our hearts
