About this Event
Nuh (AS) “The Grateful Servant of Allah” Prophet Nuh (AS) is an important Prophet of Allah SWT in Islamic traditions, as well as in Christianity and Judaism, and was among the first generation of Prophets. Nuh (AS) was sent to his people to propagate the universal message of Tawhid: belief in the oneness of Allah SWT. His people rejected that message and ridiculed him as a crazy liar. Under these trials, Nuh (AS) asked Allah SWT for strength and help, since even after many years of his preaching people had fallen even further into disbelief. Allah SWT praises Nuh (AS) in the Quran, which shows his great status amongst the Prophets: “Verily he was a devotee most grateful” – Al-Qur’an – Surah Isra [17:3] The points that will be covered are: Who was Nuh (AS) Lessons from some of his greatest trials His life over 995 years! Rejected by his people The Mercy of Allah SWT His Ark and The Flood Implementing lessons today from his life. As human beings, our general understanding of life is that of struggles and difficulties. Sometimes we find ourselves lost and find it hard to get any direction or guidance. Our Prophets in Islam gave us extraordinary insights and equally extraordinary lessons on how we can respond to our difficulties. The teachings from the life of Prophet Musa (AS) or the important lessons from the life of Prophet Nuh (AS), the trials of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the miracles of Prophet Isa (AS) are the pathways that will not only help us face difficulties with ease, but will also help us attain productivity in our lives as Muslims.
